Simbu to enter ' 07 with a bang

Simbu is all geared up for the new year. Along with romance, he has also packed ideas of directing another film. His aim is to act in 5 films in 2007. A good news is, all of them are being directed by other directors!

Tarun Gopi of Thimiru fame will be directing Simbu in a film. This film produced by GV Films, will be the first of Simbu's films for 2007. His next film is produced by distributor Trichi Viswanathan and directed by Udayan.

Having suffered from a series of flops, Vijayakanth's career revived with the release of Perarasu. Due to financial problems, the film had been in the cans for a long time, but when it was released, it did not have a old flavor and seemed like made for contemporary times. Another novelty of the film was, Vijayakanth did the role of hero as well as villain.

Udayan, the brain behind Perarasu, told Simbu a story and impressed by it, Simbu gave his call sheet right away.

After completing Tarun Gopi's film, Simbu will act in Udayan's film!
