I've risen from the ashes
Monday,
January
08,
2007
After
having
put
behind
her
all
the
hassles,
gossips
and
unpleasant
incidents
of
2006,
Sneha
is
starting
this
new
year
afresh.
With her old, charming smile, she met reporters today. Without her father or bodyguard around her, she greeted every reporter personally with warm wishes for the new year.
You
look
very
happy?
"I
don't
think
anyone
has
gone
through
the
controversies
that
I
have.
But
I'm
at
peace
now.
I
have
the
support
of
the
press
and
media.
I
am
celebrating
this
year
as
a
good
year
because
of
the
press
that
has
given
me
so
much
support.
I
am
indebted
to
them.
Everybody has to struggle at some time or other. As far as I am concerned, I'm like the phoenix bird. I feel like I've risen from the ashes. However sad I am, the minute I hear a joke, I can dissolve into laughter. That trait as well as my fighting instinct will stand me in good stead in the film field, I think."
Your
next
step?
"Film
wise,
last
year
was
good
for
me.
I
did
a
good
film
titled
Pudupettai.
The
Telugu
film
Sri
Ramadoss
with
Nagarjuna
should
most
probably
go
for
the
national
award.
After
seeing
the
film,
Mrs.
Sowcar
Janaki
called
me
and
appreciated
my
performance.
It
was
a
great
moment
for
me
to
hear
words
of
praise
from
such
a
veteran
actress.
This
year
is
also
starting
off
very
well.
From
tomorrow,
I'm
starting
shooting
for
Pallikoodam.
I'm
going
to
enjoy
doing
the
role.
After
seeing
the
film,
you
will
wonder
if
this
is
Sneha.
Ever since I heard the story from Thankar Bachchan sir, I became a teacher, but not like the old role done by Radha. This character is rather colorful and would definitely be a milestone in my career. I'm also in the re-make of Naan Avanillai, a Balachander film. How many will get such a golden opportunity like that?
On the personal front, there's nothing except cinema...cinema...and more cinema! I still have a long way to go. I've only now started getting a name."
As she gave another charming smile, our hearts melted again!
