Grand Opening for Spider Man-3

Spider Man- 3 has taken the biggest ever opening for a Hollywood film in Chennai. The Tamil version of the film released with a record 78 (it is 95 if the English prints are included) prints in Tamil Nadu only. Total number of prints including Hindi, English, Malayalam and Telugu are 588. This film has been released in 10 theaters in Chennai city only. According to the box office sources, this film has got a good opening not only in Chennai, but all over the state.

Uday Singh, Sony Pictures India, Managing Director told us, 'Spider Man - 3' is a universal hit. In India it has taken a historic and extraordinary opening. We expect the film to rake in around Rs 65 crore from the box-office, making it the biggest Hollywood hit in India'.

Film pundits expect the film's trade in Tamil Nadu will beat the record set by the film 'Titanic'. 'Spider-Man- 3' is sure going to attract the family audience and kids, and looks poised to do a record business in Tamil Nadu.
