Suhasini,
the
former
actress
and
wife
of
Mani
Ratnam,
is
re-
entering
direction
after
the
debacle
of
her
debut
movie
Indira,
released
a
decade
ago.
This
time,
Parakash
Raj,
a
favourite
male
actor
for
most
of
the
retired
artists
like
Revathi,
Rohini,
Urvasi
and
Suhasini,
will
be
producing
the
film
underthe
banner
of
his
Duet
Movies.
One
can
remember
the
immature
attempt
of
Suhasini's
Indira
released
in
1994.
This
film
became
a
big
disaster
financially
for
the
producer
GV,
and
laid
bare
Suhasini's
utopian
thoughts
on
the
society.
She
filmed
the
story
without
any
knowledge
about
the
life
in
Tamil
villages
and
their
cultural
diversities.
She
conceived
the
film's
story
without
any
knowledge
about
the
social
status
of
the
dalit
community,
and
this
invited
scathing
criticism
from
many
Tamil
laureates.
A.R.Rahman
scored
music
for
that
film.
But
after
the
disaster
at
the
box
office,
she
was
forced
to
nurse
her
love
for
direction
secretly.
But
now,
it
is
Prakash
Raj
who
is
going
to
fulfil
her
long-cherished
wish..
His
next
production
after
Mozhi
will
be
directed
by
Suhasini.
It
seems
that
Prakash
Raj
is
very
comfortable
working
with
the
women
directors.
He
has
already
produced
a
film
under
the
direction
of
Priya.V
,
a
former
assistant
of
Mani
Rathnam.
He
has
also
planned
to
produce
a
film
under
the
direction
of
Revathi
after
his
project
with
Suhasini.
