Surya Kannabiran hero

Surya respects Ameer as much as he respects Bala. In Paruthiveeran's trailer Surya sang Ameer's praises. They have worked together in Mounam Pesiyadhe.

Since Paruthiveeran is complete, Ameer is now on to his next project. Ameer was to act under Samudrakani's direction but that got postponed, so he decided to direct another film.

Ameer already had the story for Kannabiran. It's a weighty subject. Ameer thought Surya suited the role best.

Surya is busy shooting for 'Vaaranam Ayiram' now but when he heard the story of Kannabiran from Ameer, he liked it. So it could well be Surya's next project after his present assignment is over.

Since a good producer was not available, Ameer's Team Work Production House is producing Kannabiran.
