Karthi in Thillu Millu

Rajinikanth's old hits become hot property nowadays. The new directors either remake his films or borrow titles and names from his films to use for their films. There are already 2 Rajini remake films that have gone on the floors. Apart from this, his son-in-law Dhanush has titled his next film Pollathavan, after Rajini's yesteryear blockbuster.

Now director Lingusamy has been titled his next film with Paruthiveeran Karthi - Thillu Millu, one of the Superstars finest films. Despite the similarity in title, the director said that there is no similarity between Rajini's Thillu Millu and his Thillu Millu. The director plans to use Karthi in dual roles in the film, some thing that Karthi will be doing for the first time.

When I contacted the director and asked about this project of his, he said: 'Yes, I have plans to do a film with Karthi. We have considering many titles for this film. But finally we decided to stick with the Super Star's Thillu Millu. It is very apt title for the script of the film. This would be a commercial entertainer with right mix of action, sentiment and comedy. Karthi may play a dual role in the film.
