Trisha's role in Kallapart

In Kallapart, Trisha has the role of an actress. Prithviraj is the hero.

The Malayalam film Udayaanuthaaram starring Mohanlal, Meena and Srinivasan was a big hit. Mohanlal plays the assistant director, Meena is the actress and Srinivasan is an aspiring actor. At one stage, Meena falls in love with Mohanlal. Srinivasan steals Lal's script, acts and becomes a big hero. The film depicts all the unsavory behind the screen happenings in the film world.

Prakashraj bought the Tamil re-make rights and the Tamil version is titled Kallapart. Mohanlal's role is played by Prithviraj, Meena's role by Trisha and Srinivasan's role by Prakashraj.

The film is produced by Prakashraj's Duet Films. It is directed by Viji of Alli Thandha Vaanam fame.
