Sundar C says that he never bothers about the salary, but goes only after the storyline of a film. He has denied rumours that he is charging Rs.1.5 crores per film.
The director- turned- actor hosted a big party for the media persons at Raadha Park Inn, Chennai to celebrate the big hit of his recently released family oriented action entertainer Veerappu, a remake of Spatigam.
According to him, Veerappu has gone down well with the audiences in all corners of the state, and some of his Malayalee friends have also appreciated him for his role and performance in the remake of the Mohanlal starrer classic. The success of Veerappu has made him a busy bee in the industry and nearly a dozen producers are eagerly waiting for his dates to do a film.
Later Sundar told this correspondent, "I'm not an image bounded hero. I'm always seeking films having a good story and a medium budget. It is very safe to play with new ideas. For me, it is more important to sustain myself in the field as a commercial hero who never lets a producer go away with empty hands!"
