In
recent
days,
it
seems
that
actor
Vijay,
the
top
star
of
Tamil
film
industry,
has
made
it
a
habit
to
appeal
ace
directors
to
make
a
film
with
him.
Few
weeks
ago,
he
requested
Thankar
Bachan
to
create
a
story,
which
is
suitable
to
his
image
as
well
as
with
Thankar's
nativity.
Now
he
made
similar
request
to
Cheran.
He
made
this
request
at
the
audio
launch
of
Cheran's
Pirivom
Sandippom
yesterday
at
Sathyam
Complex.
Ilayathalapathi
Vijay
the
released
the
CDs
and
cassettes
of
the
film
and
Prabhu
Deva
received
the
same.
Vijay
said,
"I
wished
to
act
at
least
once
in
a
film
of
Cheran,
one
of
the
most
talented
filmmakers
of
modern
Tamil
Cinema.
But
I
thought
Cheran
will
not
give
such
a
chance
to
me.
Now,
he
has
become
a
busy
hero
and
a
competitor
too." In
his
reply,
Cheran
said,
"As
a
director
I'm
always
ready
to
work
with
Vijay."
Two
songs
in
Pirivom
Sandhipom,
the
long
awaited
film
of
Karu
Pazhaniyappan
have
been
shot
like
a
colourful
Nattukottai
Chettiar
wedding
album,
and
those,
who
have
seen
the
special
preview
of
the
two
songs
at
the
audio
launch
are
raving
about
it.
After
seeing
the
songs,
chief
guests
Abirami
Ramanathan
and
Rama
Narayanan
remembered
their
marriage
days,
a
30
plus
years
ago!
Director
Karu
Palaniappan
said:
"Pirivom
Sandhipom
is
a
family
story
with
real
emotions
and
set
against
a
Nattukottai
Chettiar
milieu.
I
don't
want
to
say
anything
more,
watch
the
film
when
it
is
released
for
Pongal."
Parthiban,
Madhavan,
Vidyasagar,
Dharani,
Kaliapili
G.
Sekaran
and
others
attended
the
function.
