Vikram's role model - Kamal Hassan

Cheeyan Vikram recently shows his keenness to play Chappani if anyone was interested in remaking the film 16 Vayathiniley. The film was a trendsetter when it was released. Bharatiraja directed it. After the stupendous success of last years Naan Avinallai, the trend of remaking old Tamil hits gained pace with producers rushing for the rights of old hit movies.

In old hits being present remade, Ajith is acting in Billa 2007 with Nayantara, a remake of the Rajini super hit Billa. Vijay has expressed his desire to act in another Rajini remake – the remake of Murattukkalai. Next on the list is Vikram who wishes to act in the remake of the classic. It was only after the films release and subsequent success that Kamal gained stardom. Whats the more the film has both the superstars Kamal Hasan and Rajinikanth in them.

He said, “I would like to play the character Chappani if some is willing to remake the film 16 Vayathiniley. If I can even do half the kind of work that the legendary Kamal Hassan has done, I will be satisfied with the way my career has gone."
