Wedding Bells for Vasanthabalan

Vasanthabalan, noted Tamil director who made the film Veyyil, is to tie the knot today. The young and talented director trained under Shankar for years, directed his first film Album for Kavithalaya. But this debut film did not fetch much success. The sentimental Pundits of Tamil cinema stamped Vasanthabalan as an unlucky fellow. But Vasanthabalan who did not lose hope shaped many stories which he had already written. He got the approval of his Guru Shankar and made the film Veyyil for S Pictures. Veyyil left some indelible imprint in everybody's mind and made Vasantha Balan an important director of the industry.

The director is to get married to his relative Vijayalakshmi, today at 9 a.m at Ambal Ramasamy Kalyana Mandapam at Virudhunagar. We wish him a happy married life.
