Ajith to play in the remake of Race?

After tasting the success of remakes in the year 2007 (Kreedom and Billa-2007) it seems that actor Ajith Kumar is opting for more remakes! At the moment, he is close on the heels of getting completed with Aegan that is a remake of Shahrukh Khan's super hit movie Main Hoon Naa.

The shooting for his other films with director Gowtham Menon and Soundarya Rajinikanth are slated to hit the floors this December and February respectively. Now he is close on the heels of shoring up on another remake. It is none other than the Hindi movie Race.

According to sources, this Saif Ali Khan – Akshay Khanna Box Office super hit was shown to Ajith a couple of weeks before and the actor was impressed a lot with the racy nature of the film.

Race is about two brothers played by Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna double crossing each other leading to the downfall. It is said that after watching the film, Ajith Kumar has requested Ashok Amritraj, the producer of this film, that instead of having two heroes, he will play dual role as both the brothers.
