Jewelry worth Rs.7 lakhs burgled in actor Anand's house

lakhs
were
burgled
from
the
house
of
popular
Tamil
actor
Anand
in
Uthandi
off
East
Coast
Road
near
Chennai.
The
burglary
came
to
light
on
Wednesday
night
when
Anand
and
his
family
members
returned
home
after
a
vacation
in
Thailand.
Anand,
one
of
the
lead
actors
in
Tamil,
has
started
his
career
in
Vijayakanth's
Poonthotta
Kavalkaran
in
early
90's.
He
was
starred
in
Mani
Ratnam's
popular
Tamil
film
Thiruda
Thiruda,
and
had
gone
to
the
South
East
Asian
country
along
with
the
rest
of
his
family
members
on
July
23
after
appointed
a
watchman
to
look
after
his
house.
On
their
return,
he
noticed
the
bureau
broken
open
and
the
jewelry
and
valuables
burgled.
The
Neelankarai
police
said
culprits
had
gained
entry
into
the
house
by
breaking
open
the
rear
door
on
the
first
floor.
