Ustaad Rehman with a mission!

AR Rehman, the Isai Puyal of Indian film music has been roped in for a mega musical show titled Mission Ustaad. The show is being aired on the Channel 9X soon. Top ten singers of Indian traditional as well as light music will participate in the musical show to win the title Ustaad Jodi.

Roop Kumar Rathod - Sunali Rathod, Kailash Kher - Mahalakshmi Iyer, Vasunthara Das-Mohit Chouhan and Naresh Iyer – Shwetha Pundit are the sensational musical pairs, who will get together and battle it out for the title.

AR Rehman plays the role of Judge in the panel, which appointed for adjudge the best Jodi of the show. Actress Lara Dutta is the other Judge in the panel. Simone Singh, the actress known for her seductive looks will host the show.

According to a press release circulated by the organizers, Mission Ustaad has been put together by the United Nations, Endemol and 9X. Mission Ustaad is expected to communicate the essence of UN's Millennium Development Goals across the country.
