Another singer from the CM's family

    By By: Settu Sankar
Arivunidhi, grandson of Chief Minister Karunanidhi and son of Mu Ka Muthu, has recorded his first ever film song at Srikanth Deva's Studio for the film Perumal starring Sundar C. The song is a remix of a Gangai Amaran's super hit of the past, Kadhal Vaibogame... in K Bagyaraj's Suvar Illadha Sithirangal released in early 80's.

Unlike the other remixes, nothing in the song has been changed: be it the lyrics or the music arrangements. Arivunidhi took just 30 minutes to complete the recording. Arivunidhi has a good sense of music and knows the nuances of playback singing. Arivunidhi has keen interest in singing, acting and is also planning to produce a movie in the future. Srikanth Deva has chosen Arivunidhi after listening to the devotional album he had released in 2005.

Meenakshi, who made her debut in Tamil with Karuppasamy Kuthagaithar, is teaming up with Sundar C in Perumal. The film is being directed by Vincent Selva. Namitha also shares the screen with Meenakshi for the female lead and the film has Manivannan in a cameo role.
