Vannathupoochi- an inside view of children's world!

Nowadays, movies about Children's dreams and their fantastic fun filled world are becoming very rare in Tamil. Azhagappan, the one time assistant of Kamal Hassan is making all his efforts to put a full stop to the trend with a movie titled Vannathupoochi (Butterfly). As said by Azhagappan, the film is a fine snap shot of the colourful world of Children.

According to Azhagappan, the movie would make us rethink the way adults with busy life style treat and move with the youngest generation.

"The word 'parent' does not mean the center of power, but patience and love. Every parent must treat their children with love and maximum affection without a little harassment. Let us leave them to enjoy their dreams without any compulsions. This is the central theme of the story" says Azhagappan.

Balasingh, one of the talented artists in Tamil, is playing the lead role for the first time. He plays the role of a grandfather in the movie that deals with the relationship between a girl and her grandpa. Srilakshmi, a third standard student living in Thirupur, plays the role as Divya Bharathi, the central character of the film.

Veteran actress Revathy adds value to the film by playing an important role as a human rights commission judge. The director informs with gratitude that the actress has accepted to act for free of cost in this sensitive movie.

Though Azhagappan has the guts to give a movie with a difference, he has a doubt on its commercial success. Don't worry Azhagappan. The glorious past of Tamil cinema reveals that the new and interesting efforts are never failed!
