Poi Solla Porom wins the legal battle

Priyadarshan and UTV group have confirmed the release of their maiden joint venture in Tamil Poi Solla Porom from tomorrow, 12th September.

Earlier Tathvamashi Arts filed a suit in the City Civil Court, Chennai, along with an application seeking a permanent injunction restraining the producers from using the title "Poi Solla Porum".

Civil Revision Petition was filed and an order was passed on Wednesday (September 10) morning granting interim injunction. However, the producers managed to get the Interim Order vacated on merits and disposed of the Civil Revision Petition itself.

According to the press release from UTV, "There is no order of injunction in respect to the film title in view of any court. UTV is free to release the film as scheduled on September 12 without any further changes.."

Meanwhile the industry talk about the film is very positive and the booking status for the opening days are also looking attractive.
