Nadigar
Thilagam's
Deiva
Magan
is
one
of
the
milestones
in
the
glorious
history
of
Tamil
Cinema.
Sivaji
Ganesan
played
3
different
roles
in
this
and
the
same
was
sent
to
Oscar
Awards
under
Indian
language
films
category
in
the
60's.
Though
the
film
didn't
clinch
any
award
at
that
time,
the
juries,
who
watched
the
movie,
were
surprised
over
the
breath
taking
performance
of
the
legendary
actor.
Now
a
new
film
production
company
is
trying
to
title
their
film
with
this
name
Deiva
Magan.
But
the
Producers
Council
opposed
the
same
with
showing
their
new
rules
that
no
one
could
use
the
titles
of
old
films
without
the
prior
approval
of
the
original
owners
of
the
film.
But
the
debutant
producer
Balaji
failed
to
produce
the
approval
letter
till
last
minute.
So
the
council
has
decided
not
to
permit
the
producer
to
conduct
the
pooja
of
the
film
with
the
title
Deiva
Magan.
Rama
Narayanan,
the
president
of
the
council
said,
"All
the
producers
and
directors
must
think
twice
before
using
the
old
titles
for
their
films.
Many
have
using
those
titles
without
prior
approval.
It
is
very
wrong."
