Revival of Deiva Magan

Even after the warning of Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), the trend of recycling the old Tamil titles for new film has been gearing up instead of slowing down. There are six old titles including Rajini starrer Padikkathavan and Jhony have been registered for the past one week in the Film Chamber, without bothering the circular sent by the TFPC recently.

Deiva Magan, the title of legendary Sivaji Ganesan's yesteryear Blockbuster also registered a couple of days ago without paying any compensation to the original producer, as instructed earlier by TPFC. Produced by Box Office Company, the movie features a debutant Dev in the lead role. Meera Jasmine plays the heroine. According to the producer Deiva Magan will go to floors soon.

Vettri, a debutant is directing the film. According to the director, the film is not a remake of the old classic. He assures that the film is a commercial entertainer with all peppy ingredients.
