Harris celebrates X'mas with poor children

Popular Music director Harris Jayaraj celebrated Christmas with 100 poor children at Infant Jesus School, Guindy on Sunday. The VGP Parijatham Trust had organized this function for a noble cause.

The Trust was established on 8th March 2007 in memory of Smt. Parijatham Panneerdas, the wife of the business legend, the late V.G.Panneerdas, to carry on her love for the poor and downtrodden in the Society.

The Trust had organized a function on 20th December 2008 at the Infant Jesus Church, Guindy, on the eve of Christmas and nearly 100 poor children were given gifts and new Dresses. The function started at 06.00 p.m. with the blessings of Rev. Francis Xavier, the father of the Church and was presided over by the famous Music Director Harris Jayaraj, who cut the Cake.

While delivering his speech, Harris Jayaraj praised the social services undertaken by the Trust, assured his full-fledged support to the Trust and also showed eagerness in participating all its future events.

Shantanoo Bhagyaraj, the son of the director Bhagyaraj, a special guest at the function, distributed the dresses while Usha Rajkumar, Secretary and VGP Ravidas, Managing Trustee of the Trust, distributed the cakes and gifts to the children.
