In
is
a
big
shock
for
all
the
film
music
lovers
down
South.
Ace
music
director
Harris
Jayaraj
has
announced
his
split
with
director
Gautham
Vasudev
Menon!
Yesterday
evening,
Harris
Jayaraj's
PRO
Nikhil
Murugan
circulated
a
statement
in
the
media.
As
per
the
statement,
Harris
has
parted
ways
with
Gautham.
Gautham
and
Harris
made
their
debut
together
through
the
2001
romantic
musical
Minnale,
which
remained
the
chart
buster
for
many
years.
The
Harris
-
Gautham
combination
has
worked
in
big
films
like
Kakka
Kakka,
Vettayadu
Vilayadu
and
Pachaikili
Muthucharam.
The
duo's
latest
release
is
Vaaranam
Aayiram.
Harris
said
in
his
statement,
"I
have
respect
for
Gautham
Menon
and
in
return
he
has
also
reciprocated
the
same
way.
But
now,
things
have
gone
sour,
so,
it
is
better
for
us
to
part
ways
as
good
friends
leaving
behind
some
beautiful
memories.
I
have
to
take
this
decision
on
behalf
of
us.
I
know
that
this
might
disappoint
my
fans,
music
lovers
and
well
wishers
in
the
industry.
It's
best
for
us
to
leave
it
like
this,
for
I
have
always
believed
that
to
create
soul
stirring
music,
a
bond
between
the
music
composer
and
the
director
is
vital.
Once
it's
lost,
it
is
difficult
to
get
it
back".
Harris
Jayaraj
also
boycotted
the
grand
Premier
of
which
was
held
yesterday.
It
is
considered
as
another
big
setback
to
Gautham,
who
was
recently
terminated
from
Ajith
starrer
Sivaji
Productions
venture
Surangani.
