Ilamai Saravedi, Deepavali treat for viewers

Social Media and Kalaignar TV are to celebrate festive season with the musical event 'Ilamai Saravedi'

Social Media India Ltd, the marketing and communication partner of Kalaignar TV music channel Isaiaruvi is gearing up to celebrate this festive season in association with Kalaignar TV.

The two had roped in popular playback singers from Tamil film industry who performed in front of 4,000 plus strong audience on October 18th in Chennai as part of a musical event called 'Ilamai Saravedi', which would be aired on Kalaignar TV as one of the Deepavali specials.

K. Sujit Kumar, Director, Social Media, stated that the show would be wholesome entertainment for viewers. He added, "The promotion for the event has been huge and the time is apt. This is a time when people are in a relaxed, festive and enjoyable mood. We had created lot of buzz about the show on ground and ran a SMS contest on-air by which viewers had got the invite to watch the show live on ground. This initiative was supported by print ads and radio spots, giving a complete 360-degree visibility and required excitement for the event."

The artistes who performed include playback singers Karthik, Benny Dayal, Jassie Gift, Suchitra, Chinmayee, Deepa Mariam and Belly Raj. Popular celebrity dance show couples from Kalaignar TV's Maanada Mayilada show Lokesh and Sujit Bala, and Ranjit and Aishwarya besides Comedian V. Sethu also performed on the occasion.

Social Media and Kalaignar TV had earlier joined hands to organize the first ever Tamil Music Award, which was later, telecast on Isaiaruvi music channel. The show had reportedly garnered a channel share of 27 per cent, and this time around too, Kumar is confident of repeating the success.
