The father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi's last Bhajan saw light on Wednesday after seventy long years it was written, in the abode of Lord Venkateshwara at Thirupathi Thirumala with the divine music of Maestro Ilayaraja.

Sung by Hindustani classical singer Pundit Bhimsen Joshi, the thought provoking Bhajans were found by Birlas some three years ago. These Bhajans were written by Mahatma during his stay with Birlas. Immediately they handed it over to Ilayaraja to compose music for the Bhajans and the divine work has completed a month before.

The CD was released in Sree Vidyaniketan Engineering College, run by Telugu actor Mohan Babu. Bharath Parekh, The General Manager of Aditya Birla Group handed over the first CD to Ilayaraja, who in turn handed over it to Mohan Babu to use the CD in the college.

After releasing the CD, Raja said, "It is my pride to compose our father of nation's soulful Bhajans. Truly, it is a noble work done by Birla group, a true honour to our Mahatma." He also sung a couple of lines from the CD amidst thundering applause.
