UTV
said
that
they
have
postponed
the
release
of
the
Tamil
version
of
Jodhaa
Akbar
for
a
while.
So,
only
the
Hindi
version
of
the
film
will
hit
screens
on
15th
of
February.
Earlier
UTV
had
announced
that
there
will
be
a
Tamil
and
Telugu
version
and
also
that
they
had
completed
the
dubbing
for
these
versions.
The
market
buzz
is
that
UTV
wanted
Rs.3
crores
for
the
Tamil
and
Hindi
version
rights
of
the
of
the
Hrithik
Roshan
-
Aishwarya
starred
epic
for
Tamilnadu
and
Kerala.
But
nobody
is
willing
to
pay
such
hugh
amounts
even
though
Hrithik's
Krish
and
Dhoom-2
garnered
close
to
Rs
2
crore
in
these
states.
The
running
time
of
the
film
film
is
almost
3
and
a
half
hours.
A
film
this
long
is
considered
a
viable
proposition
for
distributors
because
normal
Tamil
films
are
a
maximum
of
2
and
a
half
hours
long.
Ashutosh
Gowarikar,
the
director,
is
also
very
particular
that
no
single
scene
is
deleted
from
the
final
print
–
that
it
should
be
screened
as
it
is.
According
to
the
Tamilnadu
distributors
of
the
film,
only
the
the
Hindi
version
will
hit
screens
in
the
state
with
limited
prints.
If
the
film
is
declared
a
hit,
only
then
will
the
Tamil
version
will
be
released.
