Rakshana Vedhike attacks Tamil Film Crew

The crew of the Tamil film Yen Ippadi Mayakinai, shooting in Bangalore, was attacked by the members of the Kannada Rakshina Vedike (KRV), a pro-Kannada organization. The director of the film Krishna (of Sillunnu Oru Kadhal) and two of his associates were injured in the attack. The shooting was cancelled immediately and the crew returned to Chennai yesterday.

The shooting was taking place in Fraser Town and the unit had enough police protection as precautionary measure. Suddenly, a group of KRV activists entered into the place after breaking the protection and attacked the crew. They strongly opposed all activities of Tamil film people inside the state.
