250 Barbers picket Vasu's house

Nearly 250 barbers from various parts of the city mobbed director P.Vasu's house and demanded him to remove the offending scenes related to barbers in Kuselan.

According to the Barber's Association, director Vasu caricatured some characters in Kuselan who solicit business through unfair means, something that is never done in real life.

To show their feelings against Vasu, nearly 250 barbers gathered near Vasu's Royapettah house and tried to picket his house.

Immediately police officers Mourya and others dispersed the mob and arrested 250 barbers. All were jailed in a social welfare hall in Lloyds road.

Natesan, the president of Barbers association told later, "If the offending scenes are not deleted after an apology by the film's hero, director and others who belittle the profession, we will move the court to get the scenes deleted."
