Malaikallan,
the
film
which
created
waves
in
Tamil
Nadu
in
1954
with
late
legend
MGR
and
Bhanumathi
in
the
lead
is
still
in
all
movie
lovers
mind
as
fresh
as
a
new
one
just
because
of
the
revolutionary
storyline
and
MGR's
impeccable,
marvellous
action
show.
Now
the
title
of
this
film
is
being
used
by
Rajkiran
for
his
next
project
to
be
produced
and
directed
by
the
actor
himself,
who
also
will
be
donning
the
main
role.
Isaignani
Illayaraja,
the
guru
of
Rajkiran,
scores
the
music
for
Malaikallan
after
a
short
gap.
Rajkiran
said,
"MGR
is
immortal.
I
know
the
power
of
the
great
human
being.
Impressed
by
his
humanity
and
great
skills,
I
titled
my
film
as
Malaikallan.
The
objective
of
the
film
is
same
as
in
the
original
version,
but
this
film
will
talk
about
a
society
when
it
is
totally
revamped
in
economical,
political
and
sociological
front.
I'm
joining
with
my
favourite
Raja
in
this
movie
after
my
directorial
venture
Ellame
Enn
Raasathan."
He
also
said
that
he
will
be
doing
roles,
which
will
be
in
sync
with
his
age.
The
usual
sentiments,
which
are
unique
to
his
films
will
find
place
in
Malaikallan
too.
Rajkiran
is
planning
to
start
the
shooting
by
May
and
release
the
film
for
Deepavali.
The
actor
also
revealed
that
the
reason
behind
his
decline
of
an
offer
with
Superstar
Rajini
in
Shivaji.
He
said,
"Now
I'm
doing
positive
roles
only
in
all
my
films.
After
watching
my
role
as
a
sensible
father
in
Thavamai
Thavamirunthu,
thousands
of
youngsters
sensationally
write
letters
to
me
and
pray
to
get
a
father
like
me.
If
I
were
to
play
negative
role
like
Suman
doing
in
Shivaji,
definitely
it
would
be
a
big
minus
to
Rajini
sir's
great
film.
It
would
spoil
the
movie.
That
was
the
only
reason
behind
my
denial."
