Mamta returns Tamil film!

Mamta Mohandas, one of the talented Mallu actresses returning to Tamil after a gap of one and half years. She will play the role of lead lady of Prithviraj in a Tamil film (yet to be titled) directed by Fazil and produced by Priyadarshan.

Mamta's debut film Sivappathikaram with Vishal had been released in 2006 but was not turned well in the Box Office. As usual, Tamil film makers stamped her as an unlucky artist and avoided her. But the Telugu film world welcomed her with plenty of offers. She also rendered few songs in Telugu as a playback singer. Her beautiful voice won the state award too to the actress and now she is almost settled in Telugu.

Impressed with Fazil's script and her role, she has given her dates immediately to Fazil. Also she is very happy to work with people from her own land. "I'm not a new one to either Fazil sir or to Prithviraj. I'm very happy to work with them. I hope this film will be a turning point in my career."

According to the sources, Reliance Entertainment will join hands with Priyadarshan to produce the film. The shooting will be commenced from the next week.
