Deva to play character role in Thee

Deva, one of the leading music directors in Tamil, is now going to play a character role in a Tamil film. The music composer will make his foray into acting with the movie Thee, along with lead pairs Rahini-Sundar C. Directed by Kicha, who recently gave a hit film Thangam with Sathyaraj and Goundamani, the film has Sundar C in the lead. He plays an encounter specialist cop and Vivek, Aishwarya and Sayaji Shinde are also in the cast.

About his role, Deva says, "Initially, I didn't like to appear in any movie, but the director convinced me about the role, which is really meaningful. Now it is upto viewer's decision. If they don't like my appearance on screen, definitely I will stop my further movies. Let's wait and watch."

His son Srikanth Deva has scored music for the movie. Thee is scheduled for August release.
