Actor
Narain
has
decided
to
quit
Malayalam
films
after
completing
his
ongoing
Minnam
Mini
Koottam.
He
says
no
to
all
the
Malayalam
directors
those
approached
him
for
their
next
films.
After
the
success
of
Anjathey
in
Tamil,
actor
Narain
carefully
selected
the
scripts
for
him
and
he
delayed
to
start
his
next
Tamil
movie
for
nearly
six
months
after
the
release
of
Anjathey.
Now,
he
signed
a
new
film
titled
Pookadai
Ravi
under
the
direction
of
Selvaraghavan's
former
assistant
Shivakumar
and
two
more
new
big
projects
in
Tamil
also
will
be
announced
soon.
After
seeing
the
Tamil
film
industry's
size
and
business,
the
actor
decides
to
come
out
from
the
small
Malayalam
Cinema
temporarily.
Not
only
that,
the
actor
already
has
some
rifts
with
the
Malayalam
film
trade
bodies,
particularly
with
AMMA.
Very
recently
he
had
refused
to
act
in
AMMA's
fund
raising
multi
starrer
mega
film
Twenty:20.
Narain
says,
"Now
I
am
busy
shooting
for
the
Malayalam
movie
Minna
Minni
Kootam
with
Meera
Jasmine
and
it
will
be
the
last
commitment
in
Malayalam
for
a
long
time
as
I
have
decided
to
focus
more
on
Tamil
movies.
This
decision
was
taken
by
me
even
before
the
release
of
Anjathey.
Now
the
result
of
the
film
forced
me
to
declare
my
decision
boldly.
There
is
no
scope
for
actors
like
me
in
Malayalam
film
world.
They
would
never
allow
a
new
talent
into
the
industry."
It
may
be
recalled
that
a
couple
of
months
ago,
in
his
exclusive
interview
to
Oneindia.in,
the
actor
had
heavily
criticized
AMMA
and
some
veteran
filmmakers
for
not
endorsing
new
talents
in
Malayalam.
That
time
he
said,
"I
was
forced
to
compete
with
the
so-called
veterans
to
get
a
place
in
there.
In
fact,
I
had
exposed
my
views
on
the
industry
in
most
of
my
press
briefings.
But
none
had
the
guts
to
publish
the
uncut
version
of
my
views.
They
edited
all
my
comments
and
criticisms.
I
feel
much
comfortable
in
Tamil
and
even
plans
to
quit
Malayalam
films."
