Nayantara, the new Shakeela ?

Expose and gain fame is the new age fashion. Actresses vying for fame and success are ready to be glamorous to the extent of revealing themselves in movies. Till recently in India Bollywood reigned supreme in the issue of exposing, but not any more. The South Indian damsels are willing to outdo them.

The bikini trend is fast catching up in the south. After Nayantara in Billa, Anushka and by the latest reports Priyamani, the national award winner have also willingly obliged to grace that two-piece 'attire', if it maybe called so.

Exposing is no longer an issue as long as the heroine is willing to do so. Nayantara in one of her interviews lashed out against the anchor when she was asked whether she exposed to get more opportunities and was going rather beyond the extent of being 'obscene' to grab offers. She had a point to validate, as the actress had no qualms in showing her 'beautiful body'. Why the hell do we bother, when she wishes to exhibit her beauty?

Well! the most intriguing question posed towards her was whether she was vying to usurp Shakeela's coveted position. That the anchor could save his life from the heroine's wrath was nothing short of an achievement. She however minced no words in remarking that she did not expose for money. Then is fame so pricey?

Fashion is changing, paradigms of beauty are also changing, so also the South Indian film industry. So when Bhavana, one of the upcoming actresses has declared never to be glamorous in skimpy clothes...the irony remains hidden.
