Nayantara dropped as IPL ambassador

Nayantara has been dropped as the brand ambassador of the Chennai Super Kings with immediate effect as she didn't turn up for a match that the team played in Chennai. A part of the contract that she signed with the team was that she would be present at all the matches that the team played played at home. The owners of the team took the step to drop her from being the teams brand ambassador.

Gurunath Meiyappan, one of the partners of Chennai Super Kings, told media that since Nayanthara was unable to meet the commitments of regular match appearances, the team has decided to go with a only one star ambassador i.e.Vijay who would be the sole brand ambassador for the team.

He said that she signed the contract on the condition that she should make an appearance in all the seven matches which the Chennai Super Kings would play at home. According to him, soon they are planning to shoot the promotional video with Vijay and Dhoni. Nayanthara is now taking rest in Hyderabad after she was fainted on the sets of Kuselan.
