Actor Pandian passes away

Actor Pandian (48) passed away today at the Madurai Apollo Hospital. He was suffered from jaundice for the past several months. Introduced by veteran director Bharathiraaja through his Blockbuster Man Vaasanai in 1986, Pandian completed more than 82 films including Guru Sishyan and Oorkaavalan with Superstar Rajini. Most of his films like Aan Paavam, Pudhumai Pen, Manaivi Solle Mandhiram turned as big hits in the Box Office.

He joined DMK earlier in his career and was very active for some years. Later he joined AIADMK and campaigned for the party during the 2004 assembly elections.

Last week he was admitted to the Madurai Apollo Hospital for treatment. But he breathed last today morning at 11.30. He was survived by his wife and only son in Madurai town.
