Radhika
Sarathkumar,
one
of
the
most
popular
names
in
tinsel
town,
will
be
contesting
the
forthcoming
elections
of
the
powerful
Tamil
Film
Producers
Council
against
its
present
president
Rama
Narayanan.
A
couple
of
days
ago,
the
council
had
announced
in
its
notification
that
new
elections
will
be
conducted
on
July
6th
to
elect
the
new
body
for
the
council.
The
present
office
bearers
of
the
council
have
decided
to
contest
in
the
elections
under
the
leadership
of
their
present
president
Rama
Narayanan.
Now
Keyar,
one
of
the
veteran
film
makers
in
the
council,
is
making
efforts
to
form
a
new
team
to
oppose
Rama
Narayanan
and
his
team
in
the
forthcoming
elections.
According
to
Keyar,
there
is
a
need
to
change
the
present
set
up
in
the
council.
"I
felt
that
Radhika
Sarathkumar
is
the
right
person
to
preside
over
the
council
and
do
things
better
than
the
present
president.
Veterans
like
Panchu
Arunachalam,
SA
Chandrasekaran
and
A.M.Rathnam
also
contesting
in
this
election
from
our
front.
I
will
be
contesting
for
the
post
of
General
Secretary
of
the
council.
I
hope
the
members
will
support
our
team
for
a
good
change",
says
Keyar.
There's
no
need
to
mention
that
Radhika's
husband
Sarathkumar
is
the
present
President
of
Nadigar
Sangam,
another
powerful
trade
body
in
the
Industry.
