Raghuvaran,
one
of
the
famous
actors
in
South
India,
passed
away
this
morning
in
a
private
hospital
here.
He
led
lonely
life
with
many
physical
ailments
including
drug
addiction.
Introduced
as
a
hero
in
Ezhavathu
Manithan
in
early
the
eighties,
Raghuvaran
touched
many
heights
in
his
30
years
span
of
colourful
career.
He
gave
a
new
definition
to
negative
roles
in
films
like
Puriyatha
Puthir,
Badshah,
Muthalvan
and
many
other
films.
He
has
acted
also
as
hero
in
films
like
Koottu
Puzhukkal,
Samsaaram
Athu
Minsaaram,
Micheal
Raj
and
En
Vazhi
Thani
Vazhi
which
did
not
do
well
at
the
Box-Office.
Raghuvaran
is
one
of
the
favourite
actors
of
Superstar
Rajinikanth.
He
always
reserved
a
role
for
Raghuvaran
in
most
of
his
films.
Their
close
bond
lasted
till
the
death
of
Raghuvaran.
The
actor
has
appeared
as
a
doctor
in
Rajini's
latest
release
Shivaji
and
supposed
to
act
in
the
forthcoming
Kuselan
too.
Raghuvaran
already
signed
in

mega
project

too
for
an
enlarged
guest
role!
Apart
from
Tamil,
he
acted
in
several
Malayalm,
Telugu
and
Hindi
films
also
and
was
praised
as
an
actor.
In
80's,
He
became
famous
with
his
role
as
the
protagonist
of
a
Tamil
soap
opera,
AVM's
'Oru
Manidhanin
Kadhai'
(A
Man's
Story),
about
a
well-to-do
man,
who
becomes
an
alcoholic-drug
addict
and
faces
the
consequent
difficulties.
Unfortunately
in
his
real
life
too,
he
is
known
for
his
controversial
drug
addiction.
His
family
too
split
on
this
regard
and
his
wife
actress
Rohini
was
granted
divorce
a
few
years
ago.
But
the
actor
was
in
touch
with
his
son.
As
a
sincere
Satya
Sai
devotee,
Raghuvaran
visited
Puttabarthy
regularly
and
he
named
his
son
also
as
Sai
Sidharth.
Tamil
film
industry
has
been
shocked
by
the
sudden
death
of
Raghuvaran
and
the
Nadigar
Sangam
and
Producer's
Council
expressed
its
deep
condolences
over
