Finally,
the
Kannada
Film
Chamber
decided
to
allow
Superstar
Rajinikanth's
Kuselan
for
a
smooth
screening
in
the
Tamil
dominated
City
Bangalore
and
other
parts
of
Karnataka
with
limited
number
of
prints.
Now
the
film
is
going
to
release
in
13
theaters
in
Bangalore
City
with
10
prints.
The
film
will
hit
the
screens
in
other
parts
like
Mysore,
Mandya,
Hasan,
Mangalore
and
Kollegal
as
planned
earlier.
Kannada
Rakshana
Vedhike,
one
of
the
pro
Kannada
outfits
in
the
state,
threatened
that
they
would
never
allow
the
film
to
screen
in
any
part
of
Karnataka
due
to
Rajinikanth's
anti-Kannada
statements
in
Hogenakkal
water
dispute.
Some
other
organisations
compelled
the
Film
Chamber
to
order
Kuselan
distributor
to
release
the
film
only
after
a
seven
week
moratorium,
due
to
Rajinikanth's
anti
Kannada
speech
during
the
fast
organised
by
Tamil
film
industry.
At
a
stage,
the
KRV
chief
Vattal
Nagaraj
demanded
a
public
apology
from
the
Superstar
for
the
smooth
release
of
Kuselan
in
Karnataka.
But
Rajini
once
again
ruled
out
the
possibilities
and
just
keep
himself
as
the
silent
watcher
in
the
issue.
Finally,
the
film
chamber
decided
to
allow
the
film
to
screen
in
all
the
parts
of
Kannada,
but
with
limited
prints.
The
Film
Chamber
Chief
Actress
Jayamala
told
that
the
issue
of
Heganakkal
should
not
be
linked
with
Kuselan
release.
"Both
Rajinikanth
and
Balachander
are
very
important
to
the
industry.
Vasu
also
contributing
a
lot
to
Kannada
film
industry.
Moreover,
one
of
our
members
purchased
the
rights
to
release
in
Karnataka.
So
keeping
all
in
mind,
we
should
allow
the
film
for
smooth
screening.
What
we
have
advised
is
that
he
releases
the
film
following
all
the
restrictions
about
prints
and
the
number
of
theatres
it
can
be
screened
in," says
Jayamala.
It
is
also
said
that
many
of
Rajinikanth's
close
friends
in
the
Kannada
film
industry
are
reportedly
working
overtime
to
ensure
the
movie
has
a
frictionless
release
in
the
state.
Remember,
the
Tamil
Film
Industry
personalities
just
watching
the
situation
silently
and
did
not
take
any
efforts
to
smoothen
the
issue.
