Rajini, the real winner of the 'show'

Rajinikanth
Finally Rajinikanth, the Superstar of Tamil Cinema, has walked away with all sympathy of the Tamil people and got a new heroic image as the man, who always speaks for Tamils following Tamil Cinema's show of strength at hunger strike organised by Tamil Film Industry at Chepauk.

On April 4, Friday, Rajini entered into the Shamiana specially made for the hunger strikers at 11.15 PM and put a full stop for the rumours that he wouldn't turned up for the fasting. Remember that the Superstar always identified himself as a Tamilian by his thoughts and activities, but is constantly criticized by a section of vested force in the state for his Maharashtrian origin and Kannadian born.

Most of his co actors have openly targeted this true 'Gentleman of Tamil Cinema' for the past few days that he would not attend the fasting and would be escaped to Himalayan ranges to save his properties in Karnataka. But Rajini proved all these assumptions as idiotic and pre-matured through his presence and electrifying speech.

When he entered into the stage set up for the protest, all the stars including the one, who openly targeted Rajini yesterday Sathyaraj have received him with a standing ovation and thundering applause. Figured in the centre chair Rajini waved his hands towards his Vazhavaikkum Deivangal, which made them immensely happy. But some of the third rated speech delivered in the stage by some actors made him tensed and ill at ease. He was not his normal 'cool' self and was sweating due to the humid wind blowing from the beach, and barely acknowledged the presence of other actors on the make shift stage.

Especially, Sathyaraj's worst and uncultured speech has just targeted only Rajinikanth. When he mentioned Rajini as an ardent fan of Vattal Nagaraj, the entire crowd has heard this with a sign of displeasure. Rajini simply watched everything with artless face. Sarath Kumar also tried to use the occasion to show him as the savior of Tamils with a vague announcement of 'collecting Rs.100 crores' to help nationalization of Rivers.

Finally Rajini, the man well known for his discipline and self controlled behaviour even with his enemies, held the mike and stole the hearts of Tamils with an electrifying but thought provoking speech.

In a hard hitting short speech, he accused the politicians from Karnataka of whipping up sentiments on the Hogenakkal issue just because of coming elections and condemned the violence against Tamils in that state. He said the issue was sensitive and unless politicians from both states sit across the table and sort it out, it is not going to be solved.

Rajini went hammer and tong at former Chief Minister SM Krishna and BJP's Yediyurappa. He made it clear that Krishna had unnecessarily jumped in to the fray because he wanted to head his party in the coming elections in Karnataka.

Rajini said, "An elderly man, whom I respect, came down from Bombay said that it was Karunanidhi, who provoked the whole thing. How shameful is that? Dont think that the people are fools. They are like god and they know the purpose of politicians for their each and every movement."

He blamed Yediyurappa for creating the problem by going to Hogenakkal, located in Tamil Nadu, and staging a demonstration there and opening up old wounds. "Since the issue was settled down by the Central Government a decade ago by issuing a NOC, the politicians are ridiculously trying to disturb the set up just for their personal political benefits," he added.

Rajinikanth wondered how Karnataka could oppose the scheme, water which would be used from the Cauvery running within Tamil Nadu. “Those who are raising the issue are doing it for the elections. The issue should be nipped in the bud. Otherwise, it grows like a devil" he futher said, terming the opposition as dangerous to the sovereignty of the country.

Rajinikanth also added for good effect- "Top politicians are fueling this crisis, which was not an issue before elections were announced in Karnataka. Please note I'm not making any kind of political speech, I am speaking the truth". The actor also made an appeal to the Karnataka politicians like Yediyurappa, Karge, Ananthakumar, Deve Gouda and Kumaraswamy to stop their political game at this point. Otherwise the aftereffects would be very bad to them.

The crowd was almost in ecstasy while hearing the hearty speech of the Superstar and hailed him a lot with huge shout, "Thalaiva nee vaazhga… You are the real Tamilian!"
