Dasavatharam in 17 Metro screens

Following the footsteps of Shivaji, Aaskar Films Ravichandran is going to release his magnum opus Dasavatharam in 17 screens in Chennai metro only. In the suburbs, the film will be released in 20 plus screens including 20 shows in Mayajaal and 12 shows in Rohini complex.

According to Ravichandran, in Anna Salai only 6 theaters -Sathyam, Santham, Devi, Albert, Woodlands, Inox, with a combined seating of 5438 -have allotted to screen the film. Earlier Shivaji was released in 10 screens in the same area (3 screens in Sathyam, 2 screens in Devi Complex, 2 in Albert, 2 in Inox and Melody!)

In South Madras, it is huge with five screens- Udhyam, Suriyan, Mini Udhyam, Kamala and AVM Rajeswari will exhibit the film. In central Madras (Purasaivakkam, Kilpauk) for the first time, four screens- Abhirami, Swarnasakthi Abhirami, Sangam, Padmam with a combined seating of 2820 seats have allotted for Dasavatharam. In North Madras, two screens Maharani and Sri Brinda, will screen the film.

The overall capacity in all the 17 screens is nearing 13000 and if all the four shows running with packed house crowd, the collection may reach nearly 40 lakhs per day. All these calculations of 'Aaskar' Ravi become true…? Let us wait and watch!
