AR Rehman calls on CM

Music Director AR Rehman called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Official sources here described the meeting held at the Chief Minister's Gopalapuram Residence, as a courtesy call. However, sources close to Rehman said the discussions centered on the music school and university being established by him in Chennai.

At present, the school is functioning in a temporary building. By the end of this year this school will be shifted to its newly built Meenambakkam campus. In this meet, it is said that Rehman requested the CM to make possible his presence in the inaugural function and need some help from the government side to complete the work speedy.
