Religious Extremists slam Dhanam Director

Some of the religious extremists slammed Dhanam film director G. Shiva for portraying a typical Brahmin family as brutally murdering a new born baby.

According to Hindu Makkal Katchi, the director has intentionally degraded the values of Hinduism and religious faiths in his film.

Shiva, a former associate of K.Balachander made his debut through this film. He story is very controversial. According to the story, a prostitute enters in to a typical Brahmin family as their daughter-in-law and slowly mingles with the members. The family has accepted the prostitute on the advice of their family astrologer ('the entry of a prostitute will bring prosperity to the family!')

The extremists slammed the director by saying that his ideas are premature. It is absolutely against the sentiments of the numerous Hindus across the world. They demanded the immediate deletion of the portions related to the astrologer and climax. They also requested the public not to watch and support these kind of half baked films.

However the director of the film is not available to comment on this.
