"Rajini may spring a surprise for the people"

Shatrughan Sinha, a former union minister and long-time friend of superstar Rajnikanth remarked that Rajini's fans and admirers in Tamil Nadu might be in for a big surprise in the near future.

Shatrughan Sinha met the superstar during a personal visit to Chennai on Saturday.

Refusing to talk about the discussions he had with Rajnikanth, Sinha said that Rajini has traversed beyond a point where he could hardly cherish and retain his privacy. "He is a public asset now and cannot be in a shell. People of Tamil Nadu are in for a big surprise… and should be proud to have such a great personality!"

According to the BJP leader, his superstar-friend is thinking about politics most of the time. "But right now, he is concentrating on his multi-lingual, mega-budget film Robot (Enthiran)." And he also mentioned that the film's success would play a crucial role in Rajini's future plans.

Did he have any suggestions for Rajni? Sinha, citing the difficulties faced by Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, a recent entrant to politics, said that Rajini must first enter the realm of social life before plunging into politics.
