Shreya in Deepa's What's Cooking

Shreya Saran has signed her second international project, but this time with noted filmmaker Deepa Metha. The actress, who debuted in Hindi with Mahesh Bhatt's Awarapan is visibly thrilled to have bagged a role in this international production titled as What's Cooking. The film is jointly produced by Deepa Mehta Combine and BR Films.

This is Shreya's second international assignment as she is already doing Ashok Amirtharaj's Other End of the Life with Jesse Metcalfe, directed by Jimmy Dodson. In Deepa Metha's What's Cooking, Shreya is going to play an important role. Seema Biswas and Lisa Ray are also in the cast. According to the director, the movie is at present being shot on locations in New Delhi.

Shreya said, "I couldn't believe when Deepa Mehta called me to offer a role in her movie. I am really happy with this offer and I hope it is a chance to know the other sides of good film making. It will be a new experience for me."

Currently, Shreya is working in Sangeeth Sivan's Ek, which also has Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar in the cast and Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istanbul, also starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sunil Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan. In Tamil, she is the lead lady in Vikram starrer Kandasamy and yet to be titled Dhanush film.
