Sundar's Kaalayan in Murattukaalai

After seeing the mega hit remakes of yesteryear movies like Naan Avan Illai and Billa, the remakers are going steady with their ongoing plans to make more remakes in future.

Now Sundar C, the director turned actor has decided to make a film based on Murattukaalai, the block buster of Superstar Rajinikanth released in 1980. Produced by Gunanidhi, from the family of Chief Minister Karunanidhi, the film will be launched soon with an interesting star cast.

Sundar C plays the role of Kaalayan, the role done by the superstar in the original. It can be recalled that for the past several months actor Vijay has been showing great interest in remaking the movie for himself. But the golden chance has now gone to Sundar C. According to the sources, the director is going to pay a hefty Rs.1 crore to Sundar to do this project.
