Finally, director Vasu changed the basic character itself in his forthcoming Rajini starrer bilingual Kuselan. Vasu is now making the Malayalam super hit Katha Parayumbol as Kuselan in Tamil and Kucheladu in Telugu with Superstar Rajini in the lead. Pasupathy plays the role of Kuselan, a poor friend of Superstar Rajinikanth while Nayantara and Meena share the screen space for lead lady roles.

Right from the launch of the movie, Vasu, one of the best remaking specialists, has been making lot of changes in the original script written by Malayalam actor-director Srinivasan. The most important one, according to the latest reports, is that the humble barber's role that Srinivasan played in Katha Parayumbol will now get changed into that of a bus conductor.

Considering the advice of some of his well wishers Rajini asked Vasu to change the profession of the main character. P Vasu also fears that the barber's role may offend Tamil population and hence he changed the role from Barber to bus conductor.

According to sources, all these changes were made only after well informed to the original script writer Srinivasan.
