Why was Simran dropped out of Kuselan?

Director Vasu revealed the secret behind the removal of Actress Simran from Rajini starrer Kuselan directed by him. According to the director the actress had demanded an 'unimaginable' whopping amount as her salary to act as Pasupathy's pair.

In his recent interview Vasu said, "I personally like Simran a lot for her excellent performance and dancing capabilities. That was the reason behind the efforts taken by me to add this actress in the crew of Chandramukhi. But unfortunately, the actress got pregnant and the role she had to do in Chandramukhi did not allow her to join the Superstar.

Once again I tried my best to accommodate the actress for Kuselan. But this time the actress almost shocked us with demanding a huge amount as her salary. Undoubtedly, it is high and ridiculous. That was the reason for her drop out from Kuselan crew. After this, Rajini sir suggested Meena, the actress performed the role in the original version, for Tamil too.

No doubt, Meena is an excellent choice of our Superstar. Nayantara plays the role of superstar's heroine in this film. And in fact Rajini told me to utilize the call sheets of Nayan properly and not waste such a commercial value actress for a small role. So I extended Nayantara's role as a full length heroine like the one she had in Chandramukhi."
