Vijay favours Ileana over Nayantara

Many know well how superstar Rajini openly admitted of his wish to pair with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the numero uno among Indian lady artists.

In the same way his close follower Vijay also expressed his wish to act with Ileana, the young beauty of the South. He has tried to cast her even in his block buster Pokiri, but for some reasons it did not happen.

Finally, it looks like it is happening. She is almost certain to be his heroine in AVM Balasubramaniyam's new film Vettaikkaran to be directed by debutant Babu Sivan, a former assistant of Dharani.

Ileana has done just one film in Tamil KD with Ravi Krishna which bombed. After this unforgettable experience she carefully avoided Tamil offers. In Telugu she is presently getting about Rs.1.25 crores.

Earlier it was said that Nayantara would pair with Vijay in Vettaikkaran. But now, according to the sources, the actor replaced Nayan with Ileana and is ready to offer even few more lakhs than what she is getting in Telugu for this project.
