Bharath brings to life evergreen MGR

By By: Settu Shankar

Young actor Bharath shot for a song recently which required him to don the get up of none other than the great MGR for the film, Thambikku Intha Ooru.

The scene was shot in Pattinapakkam, a fisherman colony near the sea shore in Chennai. A giant 80 feet cut out of MGR formed the background with fisherfolk dancing before it. Bharath and Sana Khan danced to the tune of the song which required Bharath to be in clothes similar to what MGR wore in movies like Meenavan Nanban and Nam Naadu.

60 dancers shimmered in the background while 80 autos and 100 fish carts completed the scene. This film by J Saravanan and C Bhasker is directed by Badri and has Ranjith, Prabhu and Vivek in the cast along with Saranya and Nizhagal Ravi.

The cast and crew will move on to foreign shores like Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.
