Director Seeman to be granted parole?
The director and producer of Maayandi Kudumbathar have been taking great efforts to get parole for Director Seeman. He was arrested under NSA (National Security Act) and is cooling his heels in Pondicherry central Jail.
According to the charges leveled against him, he has apparently made provocative speech against the Government of Srilanka, which goes against the Indian Foreign Policy.
However, Seeman was acting in Maayaandi Kudumbathar before he got entangled in the controversy. The film features 10 directors, including Seeman, Manivannan, Nanda Periyasamy, Ravi Maria, Jagannath and others in the lead and is directed by Rasu Madhuravan.
Now, the producers of the film are in a fix, as everybody other than Seeman has dubbed for the film. If the film has to hit the screens in May as planned originally, Seeman will have to finish his dubbing soon. According to the sources, Rasu is trying to approach the concerned jail authorities and get parole for Seeman, so that he can come out and dub for the film.
