Fraternity to celebrate Kamal's Golden Jubilee

Tamil film industry is going to celebrate the Golden Jubilee year of Kamal Hassan's film career. Vijay TV will make a perfect platform to celebrate the legendary actor's memorable day in three phases.

At a press conference held in the City yesterday, K.Sriram of Vijay TV said, "It will be a major event as we celebrate "Ulaganayagan Kamal Aimbathu- Oru Thodarium Sarithram" and will be in three phases."

The phase two will be an Iyal Isai Nadaga Thiruvizha, which will be conducted in Coimbatore, Madurai and Chennai. A mega event is also being planned to honour the actor in the second week of September.

In the third phase of the celebration, the channel will conduct a mega event with Kamal Hassan and other superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shahrukh Khan, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Chiranjeevi and Sridevi.

Directors Murugadoss, Mysskin and Nadigar Sangam President Sharath Kumar also addressed the press meet and demanded to rename Eldams Road as Kamal Hassan Road, where Kamal's office is located.
