Golden day in Kamal Hassan's career!

Today is one of the most memorable days for Indian cinema. It is going to be a milestone in Kalaignani Kamal Hassan's career. The legendary actor has completed his 50 the year today in the Indian film Industry.

He had started his career as a child artiste in AVM's Kalathur Kannamma, under Bhimsingh direction on August 12th, 1959. He won the best child actor National Award for his performance in the film. Now he has crossed 50 long years and has made his mark in all major languages including Hindi and Bengali.

No other actor in the country has achieved such distinctions in his career and created milestones for himself. According to reports, some of his fan club functionaries had made some efforts to celebrate this memorable day.

But, Kamal stopped all those efforts and requested all to leave the day as usual, "I am happy with the fact that people have been kind to me, including my teachers, my technicians and even my critics. I consider myself fortunate and lucky not having some nasty accident.." At present Kamal is awaiting for his forthcoming worldwide release, Unnaipol Oruvan.
